Summer Junior Programme – Kilkenny College

Returning in 2022!

Kilkenny College is located 135 kms from Dublin and is Ireland’s newest boarding school, offering a full range of modern indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Kilkenny, with its population of over 20,000, is known as Ireland’s medieval capital. This historical town offers a selection of sites and buildings dating from the 7th century, including the famous Kilkenny Castle.

All students have integration with Irish students through 4 afternoons per week through arts & Crafts, Cookery and sports activities.

Kilkenny Standard Programme Includes*:

  • Residential: Full board accommodation in up to 6 bedded rooms
  • Host family: Full board accommodation with a carefully selected family (packed lunch provided by family)
  • Two students of same group per family
  • Intergration - 4 half-day activities per week on campus with Irish students including cookery, sports and Arts & Crafts
  • 15 hours of English language tuition per week
  • Alternate weekly morning and afternoon classes
  • Use of textbook and other learning materials
  • Graded certificate and end of course report
  • Organised sports activities
  • 1 half-day cultural visit locally with entrance fee
  • 1 full-day excursion by coach per week with entrance fee
  • Evening programme including discos, films, karaoke, Irish night and other activities
  • ATC Staff & Management on campus 24/7
